Rushden Echo, 20th April 1917, transcribed by Gill Hollis
Norton - Brice

The wedding took place at St. Peter’s Church on Monday, April 9th, of Miss Ida Brice, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brice, of 3, Pytchley-road, to Mr. Fredrich Norton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norton, Thomas-street, Wellingborough.  The bride, who was given away by her father, was prettily attired in a champagne silk dress with veil and orange blossom, she also carried a bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom.  There were two bridesmaids, Miss May Brice (sister of the bride) and Miss Ethel Holmes (friend of the bride) who wore pink silk dresses, with hats to match, and wore gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom.  Mr. Goldsmith, friend of the bridegroom, acted as best man.  A reception was afterwards held at the bride’s home.  The presents were numerous and useful.  The happy couple left Rushden on Tuesday for their home at Bedford.
