Rushden Echo, 16th October 1914, transcribed by Gill Hollis
Newitt – Dix

From across the Atlantic comes the following:-

A pretty wedding was solemnised at the Talbot-street Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 25th, when Miss Annie Archer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thomas Dix, was married to Mr. Joseph Newitt, of Dorchester Station. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Bingham. The bride (formerly of Rushden), was given away by her brother, Mr. Ernest Dix, and wore a suit of embroidered voile, with hat to match. Mrs. G. Noble, sister of the bride, was matron of honour, and wore a dress of white embroidered lawn. Little Amy Dix and Marion Noble, nieces of the bride, were picturesque flower girls. Mr. Wilfred Dix supported the groom.
