Nurse Mellor
Gift to Nurse

Meeting on Tuesday, the Rushden Nursing Association has decided to present an inscribed fountain pen to Nurse Mellor, who, as already reported, has received a post as assistant county secretary in the West Riding of Yorkshire. It was reported that 1,381 visits had been paid by the nurses during the quarter, and that the maternity side of the work was increasing very rapidly. The gift to Miss Mellor has been accompanied by the following letter from Councillor W. E. Capon, joint secretary of the Association:—“I have pleasure, on behalf of the Committee, in asking your acceptance of this fountain pen as a token of their esteem and regard. They regret very much to lose you from their nursing staff, but at the same time desire to congratulate you on the post you have secured. They wish to express their sincere appreciation of the service you so freely rendered, the skill and courtesy you have shown to your patients, and the ...ity you have brought to bear upon our Association and its work in general. They wish you increasing joy in your work and success in your new sphere of service.”
