THE MARRIAGE took place at Succoth Baptist Chapel, yesterday, Mr. Jas. Bennett officiating, of Miss Ruth Newell, daughter of Mr. Zerah Newell, of 34, Portland-road, Rushden, to A.B. Thomas H. Martin, of the Royal Naval Division, and formerly of the "Rushden Echo" staff.

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a fashionable brown costume with hat to match, and carried a choice bouquet of brown chrysanthemums. She was attended by two bridesmaids, viz., Miss May Brown (niece of the bride), who was charmingly gowned in pink with white hat trimmed pink, and Miss Doris Hunter (niece of the bridegroom), who was tastefully attired in white with white hat trimmed with blue. Both bridesmaids wore pink and white sprays and carried silver purses, the gifts of the bridegroom. The duties of best man were ably discharged by Mr. Ernest Sugars, and subsequent to the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home.
