Rushden Echo, 26th August 1921 , transcribed by Kay Collins
PresentationMrs. Thos. W. C. Linnitt, of Rushden, for many years a representative of Rushden on the Wellingborough Board of Guardians, was yesterday week in recognition of her valued services as secretary of the B.W.T.A. Mothers’ Meeting, presented with a fitted up leather writing case and fountain pen. About 90 members sat down to tea, and the presentation was made by Mrs. A. Ward. Mrs. T. Tailby, who presided, said she greatly appreciated their practical recognition of her sister’s work, which had been of great value to the Mothers’ Meeting. Acknowledging the gift, Mrs. Linnitt alluded to her work as a Poor Law Guardian, and said that that and the Mothers’ Meeting were sources of great happiness to her.
