A pretty wedding was solemnised at Rushden yesterday, the contracting parties being Miss Floss Berry, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Berry, of Lyndhurst, Wellingborough-road, Rushden, and Mr. John Ladds, son of Mr. J. Ladds, of Wellingborough-road, Rushden. The ceremony took place in the Independent Wesleyan Church, before a large congregation of friends and well-wishers. The church had been prettily decorated for the occasion. The Rev. R. C. Keeler was the officiating minister.

The bride was given away by her father, and she wore an ivory satin dress with pearl trimmings and silk lace, and bridal wreath and fall. The beautiful shower bouquet was the gift of the bridegroom. There were four bridesmaids in attendance—Miss Louie Ladds (the bridegroom’s sister), Miss Kathleen Phillpott (of Northampton, friend of the bride), Misses Ida Ladds and Ida Stringer (nieces of the bridegroom). The two former were chastely attired in pale blue satin dresses, tastefully trimmed, with black Gainsborough hats, trimmed with blue marabout plumes. They carried squirrel pillow muffs, tied with pale blue satin bows, and sprays of pink carnations and smilax, gifts from the bridegroom. The two latter presented a pretty picture in white silk dresses and white satin straw hats. They carried white fur muffs and parma violets, also gifts from the bridegroom. Mr. Bernard Bayes, of Irthlingborough, was the best man.

The service was choral, the hymns being—“The Voice that breathed o’er Eden,” and “O perfect love.” Mrs Cunnington was the organist.

A reception was held at the Bank Chambers, High-street, where between 60 and 70 guests assembled. Subsequently Mr. and Mrs. Ladds left for Brighton, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride travelled in a blue dress with hat to match, and a fawn travelling coat.
