Mr and Mrs George Knight

Golden Wedding—Mr and Mrs George Knight, of 56 Harborough-road, Rushden, celebrated their golden wedding on Monday, when many relations and friends were present. They were married at St Mary’s Church, Rushden, in 1874, and Canon Barker conducted the service.

Mrs Knight, a native of Rushden, is a respected member of the Park-road Baptist Church, having been associated with the Church for the last 60 years. She attended the “Old Top Meeting” when the Rev. R E Bradfield was the minister.

Mr Knight, a native of Buckinghamshire, works for Messrs. George Warner Ltd., Harborough-road, as a riveter. He reached his 70th year on July 14th, and Mrs Knight was 70 on July 6th. There are four children, 26 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, all of whom are living.
