Knight – Shorley


The marriage took place on Wednesday at Christ Church, Crouch-end, Hornsey, of Mr. Joseph Knight, boot manufacturer, Rushden, to Miss Beatrice M. Shorley, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Shorley, of 202 Wellingborough-road, Rushden. The bride was given away by her brother, Mr. W. Shorley, of Crouch-end, and she was attended by one bridesmaid, viz., Mrs. H. Ette (her sister), of Rushden. Both the contracting parties are well known in Rushden, the bridegroom being a prominent temperance worker in the town. The bride, prior to her marriage was a trained nurse, and for the past two or three years has been practising privately in Rushden. The honeymoon is being spent at Bournemouth.
