| The wedding took place at the Park-road Baptist Church, Rushden, on Monday, of Miss Florence Knight, eldest daughter of Mrs. H. Dickens, of 148, Cromwell-road, Rushden, and Mr. Walter Clark Ireson, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Levi Ireson, of 58, Washbrook-road, Rushden. The Rev. H. J. Horn was the officiating minister. Mr. J. L. Clipson, A.R.C.O., was the organist, and the hymns were “The Voice that breathed o’er Eden” and “We join to crave with wishes kind.” The bride, who was given away by her cousin, Mr. F. Knight, was attired in white silk, and wore a bridal veil and orange blossom, kindly lent by her cousin, Mrs. F. Knight. Her bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom, consisted of lilies, tulips, and narcissi. The bridesmaids were the Misses Maud, Elsie, and Mabel Dickens, sisters of the bride. Misses Maud and Elsie Dickens were dressed in pink silk merve, with black silk hats trimmed with pink silk flowers, and Miss Mabel Dickens wore white silk, and a white silk straw hat trimmed with pink roses. The best man was Mr. Bert Ireson, brother of the bridegroom. A reception was afterwards held at the bride’s home. Many handsome and useful presents were received. Both bride and bridegroom have been associated with the Baptist Church. |
