Hunt - Campion

The Rev T W Gill officiated at the Rushden Park Road Baptist Church on Saturday for the wedding of Miss Ena Violet Campion, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs S Campion of 143, Queen Street, Rushden and Mr Reginald Hunt, elder son of Mr and Mrs S L Hunt, of 17, York Road, Rushden. Mr C Groom played the hymns “Love Divine” and “O God of Bethel.”

The bridegroom is a partner in the firm of S L Hunt, The Printeries, Rushden, and the bride has been a member of the office staff of the Rushden Co-operative Society for several years.

1935Given away by her brother, the bride wore a pink satin beaute dress with cream hat and cream shoes, and carried cream roses. There were four bridesmaids, Miss Rose M Campion (sister of the bride), Miss Ethel Mayhew (friend of the bride), and the Misses Mary and Margaret Campion (nieces of the bride). The two elder bridesmaids wore white floral georgette dresses, large hats trimmed in tone, and green satin shoes and their bouquets were of pink roses. The younger bridesmaids’ dresses were of pale pink organdie, and they wore hats to match. They carried pink and cream rose buds.

Mr Donald S Hunt, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

The reception was held in the choir vestry.

In future Mr and Mrs Hunt will reside in Park Avenue, Rushden.
