Houghton – Hewitt
Rushden and Higham Wedding

Mrs. Edith Hewitt, daughter of the late Mr. William Hodby, and widow of the late Mr. John Hewitt, of Station-road, Rushden, was married on Saturday at Park-road Wesleyan Church, Rushden, by the Rev. Harry Shaw, to Mr. Samuel Houghton, of Higham Ferrers.  She wore a neat blue tailor-made costume and was attended by one bridesmaid, Miss Hilda Dickens, who also wore blue.  The best man was Mr. William Houghton, brother of the bridegroom, and the bride was given away by her son, Second A.M. W. J. Hewitt.  Afterwards there was a reception at 11, Windmill-road, Rushden, where the presents were on view.
