| The Golden Wedding of Mr. and Mrs. John Groome, of 12 Queen-street, was celebrated on Monday. They received many presents from friends, including a purse of money and a clock from the employees of Messrs. William Green and Sons. Mr. Groome was a native of Denford and Mrs. Groome of Northampton. Mr. Groome has been an employee of Messrs. Wm. Green and Sons for over 30 years. He is 78 years old and is still in the employ of the firm. He has three surviving sons and two daughters, and 19 grandchildren. |
