Miss Gladys Maud Green

Birthday Party — The 21st birthday, on Monday of last week, of Miss Gladys Maud Green, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Green, of 37 Pemberton-street, Rushden, was celebrated on Saturday last at St. Peter’s Rooms, when about 60 guests assembled to offer congratulations to the young lady. After an excellent tea, games and dancing, interspersed with songs, etc., filled an enjoyable evening until 11p.m.

Humorous monologues were given by Mr. Harry Neal, a duet by Miss Green and Miss L. Denton, and songs by Miss Green, Mr. Chris Green, and Mr. F. Stringer, the piano accompanists being Miss Denton and Miss W. Curtis. Miss R. Summer (mandolin) and Mr. Rice (violin) gave duets. Miss Green received many handsome presents. A grandson of Mr. and Mrs. C. Green, Mr. A. Curtis, attained his majority on May 16th.
