The Rushden Echo, 5th June, 1914, transcribed by Gill Hollis
George – Foskett

At St. Mary’s Church, Rushden, on Monday, Miss Edith Emma Foskett, of 5, Beaconsfield Place, daughter of the late Mr. Charles Foskett, was married to Mr. Alonzo George, of Irchester. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. P. E. Robson. The bride, who was given away by her stepfather, Mr. George Chambers, was tastefully attired in a dove grey costume with a grey hat trimmed with white plumes. The bridesmaids were the Misses Olive and Hilda Foskett, sisters of the bride, Miss Bessie George sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Connie Owen, niece of the bridegroom. The sisters of the bride were dressed in cream silk dresses, and the remaining two bridesmaids wore white embroidered dresses. Mr. E. Owen, of Wellingborough, ably carried out the duties of best man. A reception was afterwards held at the bride’s home.
