Gas Cooker Exhibition

The Exhibition of gas cookers at the Public Hall closed on Friday evening last, having been a great success. A most interesting contest took place, a full dinner consisting of six courses, being cooked to perfection on the “Eureka” stove at an expenditure of a fraction under a penny for gas. A similar experiment on the Richmond stove was eminently successful.
