Wedding - Miss Gerturde Gross, a well-known member of the choir of the Rushden Independent Wesleyan Mission, and registrar of the Sunday School, was married at the Mission chapel, Wellingborough-road, yesterday (Thursday) to Mr. Frank William Frost, also of Rushden. Miss Gross is the second daughter of Mr. and the late Mrs. G. Gross, of the old-established drapery and fancy goods business at 23 High-street, Rushden, and the bridegroom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Frost, of “The Willows,” Wellingborough-road.

The bride was given away by her father, and wore a dress of ivory Japanese satin, and a full-length veil trimmed with satin roses to match. Her bouquet was of harrissi lilies and fern.

The bridesmaids were the Misses Edna Rose Bates, a friend of the bride, and Miss Myra Long, of Cape Town, South Africa, cousin of the bride. The former was attired in nil green silk net over taffeta, with a silver and green headdress and silver shoes, while Miss Long was similarly attired in peach. Both carried bouquets of pink rosebuds and fern, and wore diamante necklets, the gifts of the bridegroom.

Mr. A. Frost, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. E. Cushing, of Doncaster, assisted by the Rev. E. E. Bromage, of the Mission Chapel, and Mr. C. Cave, A.R.C.O., at the organ, played for the hymn “Lead us, Heavenly Father.”

After a reception at the Waverley Hotel, Rushden, Mr. and Mrs. Frost left for Bournemouth, the bride travelling in a costume of old rose material, with a fox fur, brown hat and bag, and suede shoes to match.

Among the numerous gifts received were a dinner service from the choir of the Mission Chapel, and a silver teapot from the Sunday School.

Mr. and Mrs. Frost will reside at 9 Midland-road, Rushden.
