The marriage took place at St. Mary’s Church, Rushden, yesterday, by the Rev. P. E. Robson (Rector), of Miss Mary Ellen Litchfield, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Litchfield, of 21, Newton-road, Rushden, to Q.-M.-S. William Dunmore, Northants Regiment, son of Mrs. Dunmore, of Northampton.  The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a fashionable costume of saxe blue, with white velour hat.  She carried a choice shower bouquet of chrysanthemums, etc., the gift of the bridegroom.  She was attended by her friend, Miss Amelia Denton, who wore a well-cut fawn costume with hat to match, and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums, the gift of the bridegroom.  The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Charles Dunmore (cousin of the bridegroom).  After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home, and later in the day Quartermaster-Sergt. and Mrs. Dunmore left for Eastbourne, where the honeymoon is being spent.  The bride, for many years, was a teacher in Rushden St. Mary’s Sunday school, and the bridegroom is a member of His Majesty’s Regular Forces, having served nine years.  He was recalled from Egypt at the outbreak of war and sent to the Western front, where he has been ever since.  A number of useful wedding gifts were received.
