The wedding was solemnised at the Independent Wesleyan Church, Rushden, yesterday week, of Miss Kitty Fensome, second daughter of Mrs. G. Fensome, of Rushden, and Mr. Edwin J. Dunkley, second son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Dunkley, of Wellingborough.  The Rev. S. J. Smith, of Wellingborough, officiated.

The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr. B. Fensome, wore a fashionable costume of green cloth, with hat to match, and carried a shower bouquet, the gift of the bridegroom.  She was attended by three bridesmaids – Misses N. Fensome (her sister), M. Botterill, and E. Grohman (her cousins).  They were effectively costumed in fawn, with hats to match, and each wore a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom.  The best man was Lance-Cpl. H. Perkins, who was at home on leave from the front.

The service was fully choral, the hymns being “The Voice that breathed o’er Eden” and “O perfect Love.”  Miss M. Stapleton presided at the organ, and as the happy couple left the church played the Wedding March.

Subsequent to the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home.  The honeymoon is being spent in the Isle of Wight.  Numerous and costly were the presents received.
