A very pretty wedding was conducted by the Rev. Percy E. Robson, M.A., at St. Mary’s Church, Rushden, on Saturday, the happy couple being Miss Florence Georgina White, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. White, of Beaconsfield-place, Rushden, and Mr. William Craddock, second son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Craddock, of Northampton. A large number of well-wishers were present at the church to witness the ceremony.
The bride was charmingly attired in a dress of crepe-de-chine and wore a hat trimmed with a rose, covered with black lace, and a pom-pom in front. She carried a magnificent shower bouquet and was attended by six bridesmaids. The bride’s sisters, Misses Phoebe, Maud, and Rose White, her cousin, Miss Rose Ward, of Leicester, and the sisters of the bridegroom, Misses Kitty and J. Craddock, were the bridesmaids. The first four were prettily dressed in blue Salome trimmed with pillow lace, and the latter in cream alpaca. They wore black hats trimmed with pink roses, and carried sprays of flowers, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride was given away by her father. Mr. Benjamin A. Wilson, cousin of the bride, carried out the duties of best man.
After the ceremony a pleasing little presentation was made. As the bride left the church a silver-covered shoe, decorated with beautiful flowers and silk ribbons, was handed to her, and she carried the emblem to her carriage. It was the gift of her aunt, Mrs. S. Ward, of Leicester. A reception was subsequently held at the residence of Mrs. Cox (a friend of the bride’s relatives), about 40 guests being present. There were a large number of useful and handsome presents.
