Opportunity Knocks For Tony
SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD Anthony Higgins, chairman of Rushden Youth Council, who begins a three-year course at Birmingham School of Speech Training and Dramatic Art in September. He is a former pupil of Rushden Secondary School for Boys.
Tony is achieving a lifelong ambition which, up to a short time ago, he could not see his way clear to doing.
He told us he had always wanted to be an actor, but only now was he able to start studying with the help of a county grant.
After the course he would like to join Birmingham Repertory Theatre, tout would take on anything that came his way, even television.
He is the second son of Mr and Mrs. P. Higgins, 6 Denton Close, Rushden.
