MILLARD – WILLMOTT
A very pretty wedding took place at St. Mary’s Parish Church, Rushden, on Saturday, Pte. George Walter Millard, second son of Mr. and Mrs. V. Millard, of 41, Scarborough-street, Irthlingborough, being married to Miss Hilda Willmott, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Willmott, of 16, East-Grove, Rushden.
The bride was given away by her father and was attired in cream coplinde soir with coatee and spotted net and ninon sleeves and vest; she wore a bridal fall kindly lent by a friend, and carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maiden-hair fern, the gift of the bridegroom.
The bridesmaids were Miss Elsie Mabel Willmott, sister of the bride, and Miss Minnie Taffs, of Kettering, friend of the bride. They were dressed in electric blue shot silk with spotted net and ninon sleeves and vest and wore large black hats trimmed with flowers and velvet ribbon; they carried bouquets, the gift of the bridegroom, and wore gold brooches, also the gift of the bridegroom. Mr. Ernest Millard acted as best man.
The reception was held at the bride’s home, the guests numbering about 40.
