W H Clark

Rushden Echo & Argus, 10th April 1931, transcribed by Kay Collins

Former Rushden residents Praised
A Concert in Queensland

We have received from Mr. W. H. Clark, of Wondai, Queensland, Australia, and formerly of Rushden, a cutting from “The South Burnett Times” in which appears a report of the opening concert given by the Wondai (Queensland) Choral Society, several former Rushden residents taking part.

Mr. Clark has draw our attention to the following names which will no doubt be familiar to many of our readers: Mrs. Clark (nee Annie Bayes), Mr. J. C. Clark, Mr. F. Clark, Mr. W. H. Clark, Mr. W. Bailey (who was also the deputy conductor).

The concert was first given by the Society which has only been in existence a few short months and the report praises highly the performance of the artistes.
