Mr & Mrs Claridge

Grace Pashler, whose pleasing sketches of local scenes have been much admired, was a bride at St. Mary's, Rushden, on Tuesday. She is the youngest daughter of Mr. F. T. Pashler and the late Mrs. S. A. Pashler, of 180, Cromwell-road, Rushden. The bridegroom, Mr. Gordon Claridge, youngest son of Mrs. Claridge and the late Mr. A. Claridge, of Upper Dean, near Kimbolton, is serving in the Royal Corps of Signals.
The marriage took place by license and was conducted by the Rev. E. A. Green, Rector of Rushden, Mr. Alfred Clarke, A.R.C.O., playing the organ.
Mr. W. Meredith Butt, of Northampton (brother-in-law) gave away the bride, who had a dusty pink ensemble trimmed with beige fur, with nigger brown hat and shoes and beige net gloves. A spray of orchids and lilies of the valley was worn, and the bride carried an ivory Prayer Book given to her by the bridegroom. There were no bridesmaids.
Mr. Eric Claridge, of Rushden, was best man. The reception was held at 180, Cromwell-road, where Mrs. Claridge will reside while her husband is on war service.
