The Rushden Echo 6th August 1915, transcribed by Kay Collins
Wedding - Chattell & Walker
A pretty wedding took place at the Park-road Baptist Church, Rushden, on Monday, the contracting parties being Miss Minnie Walker, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Walker, of 102, Park-road, Rushden, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Chattell, third son of Mr. and Mrs. Chattell, of 233, Wellingborough-road, Rushden. The Rev. R. Heaps officiated in the absence of Rev. H. J. Horn. The bride was given away by her father, and wore a pretty gown of white silk with an over dress of lace, and bridal veil and wreath of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of lilium longiflorum, white roses, carnations, gypsophillia, and maidenhair and asparagus fern.

Two bridesmaids were in attendance – Mrs. J. Copson (sister of the bride) and Miss Ruth Chattell (sister of the bridegroom). Both wore dresses of tussore silk and black hats. The best man was Mr. E. Chattle [sic] (brother of the bridegroom). After the ceremony a reception was held in the Park-road Baptist Assembly-rooms, about 40 guests assembling. Mr. and Mrs. Chattle, who will reside at Nottingham, received over 70 useful wedding presents.
