Twenty-One—Miss Jean Charles, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Charles, of 153 Newton-road, celebrated her majority on Friday last. Among numerous greetings that Miss Charles received was a cable from her fiancé, Mr. L. J. Rootham, who is serving with the Forces overseas. The occasion was celebrated quietly at home.
