MARRIAGEOn Monday last the nuptials were celebrated between Mr. M. V. Burrows, of the firm of Knight and Burrows, shoe manufacturers, of Finedon, and Miss P. Darnell, for 12 years school teacher at the Board Schools, and eldest daughter of Mr. Joseph Darnell, of Rushden. A large crowd assembled at the Old Baptist Chapel to witness the ceremony. The bride was dressed in cream merino, trimmed with lace, pearls, and orange blossom, and she wore a bridal veil. The bridesmaids were Miss L. Darnell, who wore dark electric blue merino, trimmed with rose pink, and Miss V. A. Burrows, Miss L. Burrows, and Miss K. Burrows, who were dressed in pale blue cash¬mere. Mr. Darnell gave his daughter away. After lunch the happy pair left for their new home, leaving a large company behind to spend a pleasant evening. The list of presents was very large, and the good wishes of a numerous circle of friends will follow Mrs. Burrows to her new home.
