| The Marriage of Mr James Bugby, fish merchant, of High-street, Rushden, second son of the late Mr Alfred Bugby, of Raunds, to Miss Mary Elizabeth White, youngest daughter of Mr John White, of Earls Barton, took place on Monday in the fine old parish church at Earls Barton in the presence of a large number of parishioners. The contracting parties are well-known in Rushden, the bridegroom being a well-established tradesman in the town and the bride having for several years past been a teacher at the National school. In the absence of the Vicar of Earls Barton, the ceremony was performed by the Curate-in-charge. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Alfred White, was attired in a travelling dress of grey cloth, with a white hat trimmed with tulle and tips of orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of white flowers, comprising lilies, tube-roses and geraniums. She was accompanied by two bridesmaids—Miss Bertha Asbery, of Raunds, and Miss Emily White (niece of the bride), attired in white, with white hats and white tips. Mr Arthur Bugby of Raunds, was the best man. Mr and Mrs Bugby were the recipients of many handsome presents. |
