The wedding took place at Holy Trinity Church, South Woodford, Essex, on Saturday last, of Sergt. H. Boyce, R.A.M.C., late of Rushden, to Miss Fanny Edith Manby, of South Woodford.  The Vicar officiated.  The bride, who was given away by her father, was tastefully attired in white silk, with a wreath of orange blossom and veil, and carried a bouquet of pink carnations, and tea roses.  She was attended by four bridesmaids – Miss Marjorie and Miss Ivy Manby (sisters of the bride), Miss Ena Forge (niece of the bridegroom), and Miss Grace Vince (friend of the bride).  Two of the bridesmaids were dressed in pale mauve, with hats to match, and two in shell pink, with mob caps; each carried a bouquet of pink sweet peas.  The bridegroom, who was in uniform, was attended by Sergt. F. Shaddick, R.A.M.C., a friend of the bridegroom, as best man.  During the ceremony two hymns were sung, “The Voice that breathed o’er Eden” and “True friends help each other,” the organ being played by Miss Chapman, G.F.S. Associate, who also gave the “Wedding March.” 

After the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home, a large number of relatives and friends being present.  The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of a large number of handsome and costly presents.
