| Motor Wedding – A quiet but happy wedding was solemnised at St. Mary’s Church, Rushden, on Saturday, by the Rector (Rev. P. E. Robson, M.A.). The contracting parties were Miss Miriam Waring, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Waring, of Fitzwilliam-street, Rushden, and Mr. William Arthur Bone, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bone, of Grove-street, Rushden. The bride, who was given away by her father, was very suitably costumed in grey whipcord, with a pale blue hat. Miss E. Bone, sister of the bridegroom, attended as bridesmaid, and wore a brown costume with hat to match. Mr. Walter Bone (brother of the bridegroom) efficiently carried out the duties of best man. The motor car was supplied by Mr. A. Okins. Subsequent to the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the bride, a good number of guests assembling. Amongst the many useful and costly presents were a wicker chair and a chamber service, the gift of the employer and employees of Messrs. H. W. Chapman, Ltd. The happy couple will reside in Newton-road, Rushden. |
