Bishton – Thurlby

A quiet wedding was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church, Rushden, on Sunday morning by the Rev. P. J. Richards, the contracting parties being Miss May Thurlby, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Thurlby, of Windmill-road, Rushden, and Mr. Frederick Bishton, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Bishton, of Fernbank Villas, Higham-road, Rushden. The bride, who was given away by Mr. Rene Parker, wore a silver grey costume and white hat trimmed with orange blossom. She was attended by one bridesmaid, Miss Nellie Curtis, who was tastefully attired in cream-flowered silk, and hat to match with large plume. Mr. J. Bishton (brother of the bridegroom) officiated as best man. A reception at the bride’s home followed the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Bishton were the recipients of a large number of useful presents.
