A pretty wedding took place at St. Peter’s Church, Rushden on Monday, the contracting parties being Miss Fanny Underwood, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Underwood, of 10, Pemberton-street, and Mr. Frederick Bass, son of Mr. William Bass, of 38, Spencer-road. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. P. J. Richards. The bridesmaids were the Misses Elizabeth Underwood, sister of the bride, Mary Bass, sister of the bridegroom, Florence Hill and Evelyn Eagles, friends. The best man was Mr. Wm. Bass, brother of the bridegroom. The bride, who was given away by her father, was daintily attired in a dress of cream alpaca, with a black hat and plume. The bridesmaids’ dresses were as follows:- Miss Underwood and Miss Hill, pale blue alpaca dresses and black hats with large plumes; Miss Bass, pale pink crepe and black hat; Miss Eagles, pink dress and black hat trimmed with pink roses. A reception was held at the Moor-road schools. Many handsome and useful presents were received. |
