Rushden Echo, 7th August, 1914, transcribed by Gill Hollis
Barker – Easton

A pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Peter’s Church on Saturday, the contracting parties being Miss Lily May Easton, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Easton, of Spencer-road, Rushden, and Mr. Sidney Barker, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Barker, of High-street South, Rushden. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev. P. E. Robson, Rector of St. Mary’s Church, Rushden. The bride was charmingly attired in white silk and a white hat. She carried a bouquet of marguerites and ferns and was given away by her father. Miss Eva Easton, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid and was suitably dressed in pink satin and a black sash. She carried a bouquet similar to that of the bride. A reception was afterwards held at the bridegroom’s home. There were many beautiful and useful presents.
