Baker-Cox

Pastor H W Clover, at the Succoth Baptist Chapel, on Good Friday joined together in holy matrimony Miss Kate Cox, of 138 Wellingborough-road, Rushden, younger daughter of the late Mr and Mrs John Cox, and Mr George Baker, of 19 Spencer-road, Rushden. The bride wore a grey moracain dress and a black hat. She was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr C Mole, and was attended by Miss D Sabey (her friend) as bridesmaid. Miss Sabey was attired in a fawn gabardine costume and a hat to match. The hymn “Great God of order, truth, and grace” was sung. Mrs Harsant officiating at the organ. A reception was afterwards held at the bride’s home. The handsome two-tier wedding-cake was a gift from Mrs P Jones, a friend of the bride.
