| The wedding took place at the St. Peter’s Church (Rushden) on Monday of Miss Marjorie Eady, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Eady, of Wellingborough-road, Rushden, to Mr. James Baines, second son of Mr. and Mrs. C. Baines, Cambridge. The Rev. P. J. Richards, M.A., conducted the ceremony, and Mr. W. P. Jolley presided at the organ. The bride, who was attired in a navy blue costume with a powder blue hat trimmed with grey velvet and pink roses, carried a shower bouquet consisting of white heather, white carnations, and lilies of the valley. She was given away by her father. The bridesmaid, Miss E. M. Bridgment, niece of the bride, wore a pretty coloured costume with saxe blue silk hat trimmed with black velvet and La France rose, and carried a bouquet of pale pink and white carnations, lilies of the valley and asparagus fern. Mr. H. Bridgment ably discharged the duties of best man. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the bride’s home. Subsequently the happy couple left for Eastbourne where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride’s travelling dress was a fawn costume with a nigger brown hat. Mr. and Mrs. James Baines, who were the recipients of numerous and costly presents, will reside at Cambridge. |
