Rushden Echo, 5th July 1912
Mr. Herbert Ambridge

Coming-of-Age—A party in celebration of the coming-of-age of Mr. Herbert Ambridge, only son of Mr. and Mrs. George Ambridge, of Harborough-road, was held in the Ambulance Headquarters on Saturday afternoon and evening, when about 40 guests were entertained by Mr. and Mrs. Ambridge to tea and supper.

Mr. Herbert Ambridge’s grandfather, who is well-known as a Primitive Methodist local preacher, made a felicitous speech at the tea table, and Segt. Prigmore, by request, responded on behalf of Mr. Herbert Ambridge. After supper various games were indulged in, recitations and songs were given, and dancing took place to the motive music of Miss Elsie Ambridge. On the initiative of Sergt. Prigmore, seconded by Mr. A. E. Abbott, hearty thanks were accorded Mr. and Mrs. Ambridge for their hospitality.
