It was a special Boxing Day for residents of Risdene Home for Old People at Rushden, for they helped Mrs. A. M. Ainge, who lives at Risdene, to celebrate her 101st birthday.

Mrs. Ainge celebrated with a party for relatives and friends at Risdene.

On Christmas Day, Risdene was visited by the chairman of Rushden Urban Council, Mr A Allebone, the Mayor and Mayoress of Higham Ferrers, Mr and Mrs R O Blackwell, Mr and Mrs G Marriott, Mr A C A Colton and Mr W J A Peck.

The visitors were accompanied by the matron, Miss I Mitchell.
