Abbas – Nicholson

Sergeant Philip R. Abbas, an American born member of the Royal Air Force, married Miss Betty Lilian Nicholson, of Rushden, at Wallingford, Berkshire, on September 10.

Before joining the R.A.F., Sergeant Abbas was employed by the Royal London Insurance Cp Ltd., and was a member of the Rushden Badminton Club. His mother, now Mrs. J. Hebbes, of whom he is the only son, resides at 11 Irchester-road, Rushden.

Youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Nicholson, “Manton House,” Griffith-street, Rushden, the bride is manageress at Rushden for the Sketchley Dye Works and a member of the Baptist Recreation Club. She was in turquoise blue with black hat trimmed with red velvet, and wore a spray of red carnations.

The wedding took place by special license and the honeymoon was in London.
