| A quiet wedding took place on December 24 at St. Mary’s Church, Rushden, the Rev. W. Pelham (Curate) officiating. The contracting parties were Miss Rose May Bridgement, second daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. W. Bridgement, of East Grove, Rushden, and Mr. Frederick Waller, eldest son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. Waller, of Montague-street, Rushden. The bride wore a neat dress of mole-coloured whipcord trimmed with velvet, and a black velvet hat trimmed with ostrich feathers. The bridesmaids were Miss Laura Bridgement, sister of the bride, and Miss Evelyn Eagles, friend of the bridegroom. The former was dressed in pale blue silk and the latter in pink silk. Mr. Harry Perkins, friend of the bridegroom, gave the bride away. Mr. George Harrison, brother-in-law of the bride, acted as best man. A reception took place at the residence of the bride, a large number of guests assembling. There were many useful presents. |
