The marriage was solemnised at St. Mary’s Parish Church, Rushden, on Monday, of Miss Edith Minney, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I. Minney, of 80, Wellingborough-road, and Mr. Bertie Robinson, son of Mr. Samuel Robinson, of Hayway. The Rev. P. E. Robson was the officiating clergyman. The bridesmaids were the Misses Florence and Elsie Minney, sisters of the bride, Gladys Robinson, sister of the bridegroom, and Bertha Smith, friend of the bride. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a dress of cream silk whipcord, trimmed with pearls. The bridesmaids’ dresses were as follows:- Miss F. Minney and Miss G. Robinson wore dresses of champagne silk poplin, and Miss E. Minney and Miss B. Smith wore pale silk eolienne dresses. Mr. Raymond Robinson, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The reception was held at St. Peter’s Church Rooms, the guests numbering about 70. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson were the recipients of many useful and handsome presents. |
