Rushden Echo, 22nd June 1923, transcribed by Kay Collins
Miss Lilian Olive Leaton

The Coming-of-Age of Miss Lilian Olive Leaton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Leaton, of “Fairview,” Hayway, Rushden, was celebrated at home on Monday, 40 guests being entertained. Dancing took place on the lawn to gramophone music. After dusk vocal items were given indoors by Mr. H. Felgate (baritone), of London, Mr. S. Weekley (comedian), Miss Leaton (soprano), of Wellingborough, and Mr. W. Johnson (tenor), of Northampton. The pianist for the chief items was Miss Johnson, other members of the company also officiating at the piano. The happy family gathering was kept up until 3a.m. Miss Leaton received many useful and costly presents, the gift of the parents being a cheque.
