| The marriage was solemnised at St. Mary’s Church, Rushden, on Saturday, the Rev. W. Pelham officiating, of Miss Charlotte Ethel Hodson, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Hodson, of 14, Crabb-street, Rushden, and Mr. Ralph Pinnock Houghton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Pinnock, of 65, Victoria-street, Irthlingborough. The bride was charmingly gowned in white silk with pale pink hat trimmed with white lace and pink roses. She was given away by Mr. H. Munday, of Irthlingborough, and was attended by her friend, Miss Alice Sumpter, who was also attired in white silk with hat to match trimmed with pink silk. The reception was held at the bride’s home, her brother Pte. F Hodson, of the 2nd Canadian Contingent, with his wife, being present. The wedding gifts, which were numerous and costly, included a toilet service from the girls of Mr. H. W. Chapman’s box factory, where the bride has been employed for a number of years past. |
