Rushden Echo March 14 1941, transcribed by Gill Sear, 2008.
Cox & Robinson
Local Wedding

A marriage took place at the Rushden Park-road Baptist Church on Saturday between Miss Betty Robinson, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A Robinson, of 100, Harborough road, Rushden, and Aircraftsman Eric Norman Cox, only son of Mr and Mrs N. Cox, of 26, Trafford-road Rushden.

The bride, given away by her father, wore a dress of gold traced brocade satin in ivory with gold headdress and shoes. Her bouquet was of arum lilies and she wore pearls. She was attended by Miss Elizabeth Smith, niece, who was dressed in white satin with gold trimmings. The bridesmaid's posy was of daffodils and narcissus, and she wore a gold cross, a gift of the bridegroom.

The best man was Mr F Keats, of Rushden, and the ceremony was conducted by the Rev. R. Percy Jones minister of the church. The reception was held at the bride's home, and the honeymoon "somewhere in England." For travelling the bride wore a fawn tweed coat with brown accessories.

The couple will reside at 100, Harborough-road. The cars were supplied by Messrs. Wadsworth Bros.
