The wedding took place at St. Mary’s Church, Higham Ferrers, on Whit Monday of Miss Nellie Parratt, youngest daughter of Mr. Harry Parratt of 14, Corporation-row, Higham Ferrers, and Mr. James Horace Compton, youngest son of Mrs. Walter Compton, of Victoria-road, Rushden. The Rev. W. Peppercorn officiated. The bride, who wore a neat dress of grey whipcord with hat to match, was given away by her father. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Jennie Parratt (sister of the bride), and Miss Kate Compton (sister of the bridegroom), whose dresses were of cream alpaca, with black picture hats. Mr. Fred Mayo (friend of the bridegroom), was best man. A reception, in the large room of the Town Band Club, followed the ceremony.
