| An interesting marriage was solemnized on Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, Rushden, the Rector (Rev. P. E. Robson) officiating, of Miss May Williams, sixth daughter of Mrs. H. Williams, of Covington Hall, Kimbolton, Hunts, to Mr. Sidney Chettle, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. George Chettle, of 63, Duck-street, Rushden. The bridegroom is a partner of the firm of Messrs. G. Chettle and Sons, horse slaughterers, Rushden. He served during the war in the Army Veterinary Corps. The bride was given away by Mr. Oliver Williams, and she was attired in a travelling costume of nigger brown with a hat to match. She also wore a set of skunk furs, the gift of the bridegroom. The bride's sister, Miss C. Williams, attended as bridesmaid, and wore a dove grey gabardine coat dress. The best man's duties were capably discharged by Mr. Leonard Chettle, brother of the bridegroom. The happy couple afterwards left for Derbyshire for their honeymoon. |
