| The wedding took place at St. Mary’s, Rushden, on Christmas Day, of Miss Florence Jane Jackson, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jackson, late of Rushden, now in Brandon, Manitoba, Canada, and Mr. Horace Stanley Barfoot, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Barfoot, of Robinson-road, Rushden. The Rev. P. E. Robson M.A., Rector, conducted the ceremony. The bride’s dress was of silk crepe-de-chine with bridal veil, lent by Mrs. F. W. Barfoot, and she carried a splendid shower bouquet. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Elsie May Barfoot (sister of the bridegroom) and Alice Bird (friend of the bride), who wore silk cashmere dresses with black satin hats. Each wore a spray and brooch, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. Walter Dickens, brother-in-law of the bride, gave the bride away, and the duties of best man were ably carried out by Mr. F. W. Barfoot, brother of the bridegroom. A reception was subsequently held at the bride’s home. There were many beautiful and useful presents. The happy couple will reside at Bedford. |
