Sporting Events At Rushden

Sport enthusiasts were present in large numbers at the Rushden Town Cricket Ground
on Saturday afternoon to witness the sports postponed from Bank Holiday Monday.
Arrangements had been made by Mr. H. Darnell and Mr. H. Knight (secretary).
Rushden Rifle Band played selections during the afternoon.

Judges, Messrs. Newberry, Wilkins, and Longland The results were: —
100-yards Boys' Race: Heat 1, 1 J. Perkins, 2 0. Waller;
Heat 2, 1 H. Foreman, 2 E. Wood;
Heat 3, 1 W. H. Colton, 2 B. Docks; heat 4, 1 E. Tew. 2 L. Bates.
Final: 1 E. Tew (18-yards start); 2 H. Foreman (8-yards); 3 W. H. Colton (11-yards),
50-yards Dash: Heat 1, 0. Sparks;
Heat 2, G. Fairey;
Heat 3, W. Craddock; heat 4, G. Spears;
Heat 5, G. W. Hanger.
