with the new changing facility for sports events.

The previous wooden skate park at Jubilee Park was deemed to be unsafe after being ridden by a professional BMX rider at the request of Rushden Town Council. A spokesman said that after several years of repairing the wooden structure, it was now deemed to be a false economy and a brand new one was needed to be built using more robust materials such as concrete and metal.

There is also a new sports changing facility on the same site at the park in Bedford road, Rushden. The work was completed at the end of November 2015. Funding was from the Rushden Town Council, section 106 monies and East Northamptonshire council. By the look of things, the enthusiasts have taken to things with large numbers already trying their skills out on this impressive addition to Rushden.
