Waiting for the first-ever regular children’s cinema show to be held in Rushden, these children were photographed as they stood at the doors of the Royal theatre on Saturday morning.
The shows will be held regularly on Saturday mornings at the Royal, where the children can enrol in a cinema club, and will receive a card entitling them to free admission on the week of their birthday.
Each Saturday they will see a cartoon, feature film and serial episode the first serial being “Flash Gordon.”
“Uncle Jode,” otherwise known as Mr H J Payne, manager of the Royal, said that Saturday’s opening performance was “very, very successful.”
