Motor Club members from throughout the county helped Rushden Query Club celebrate another successful club year at its 40th dinner dance.

The event, held at Overstone Solarium, attracted record numbers—more than 250 members and their friends attended. Mr. Len Cherry, president, proposed the toast to the club and gave a resume of the activities of the Query Club over 40 years.

He paid particular tribute to the foresight of early members who set out the club rules. He referred to the club's social aspect and its work on behalf of charities, in particular for Rushden Charities Carnival.

A reply on behalf of visitors was given by the county road safety organiser, Mr. Dick Cooper.

Among those attending was Mr. Bill Holt, one of the founder members.

Dancing was to the music of Bill Graham, and cabaret items were performed by members of the Query Club.
