Prize Winners at Bedford Show

LOCAL PRIZEWINNERS AT BEDFORD SHOWMr. Walter Sargent's (Rushden) St. Bernard, "Jaga," in a class of 16 took second prize. Mr. W. Lovell’s Dalmatian "Lady Jess" took third in a variety class of 17, Mr. Hedger Edward's (Wellingboro'), grand deerhound, "Strathmore" being first, and a beautiful bloodhound second. In wire haired terriers, Mr. C. Bartle's fine little dog "Wellingborough King" got reserve in the open class, and in class five it took first, easily beating his 18 opponents. In the Poultry section, Mr. Samuel Robinson (Rushden) took second prize in the selling class with a Minorca cockerel,that could have easily beaten the winner in the open class, Mr. W. Clarke being third. In the Rabbit class, Mr. W. Clarke took second prize with a beautiful little Dutch under six months.
